Industrial gases, halons and refrigerants — what the company handles, what a supply or recovery enquiry needs to say, and why the container detail matters as much as the substance.

The nature of business recorded against HALON AND REFRIGERANT SERVICES LIMITED covers three classifications: the manufacture of industrial gases, remediation activities and other waste management services, and technical testing and analysis. Everything on this page follows from those three, and from what the trade plainly involves.
The thread running through all three is control of a substance that cannot simply be tipped away or sold on without thought. A halon charge, a recovered refrigerant, a mixed or unidentified cylinder: each one has to be identified, accounted for, and then either put back to use or passed into a route that deals with it properly.
That is why the testing work and the waste work sit alongside the gas work rather than separately from it. In practice an enquiry rarely arrives as one clean question. It arrives as a container in a plant room that nobody wants to touch, and the first job is to find out what it is.

Remediation activities and other waste management services: what happens once a material is no longer wanted, and the paperwork that has to follow it.
Identification and analysis of a charge or a container, and the reason it is usually the sensible first step rather than an optional extra.
These are deliberately not published as fixed claims, because they change with the material, the site and the job.
